Product Description

We make our wool covers by upcycling 100% Merino Wool sweaters that we hand select for softness with your baby in mind.  Each cover is lined with Oeko Tex 100 certified Merino Wool and has a 100% cotton interfacing in the wings and front (to hold the snaps securly in place).   The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for all stages of textile production. This certification ensures that products are free from harmful substances. There is no finer certification than the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. It goes beyond the organic label!

Each cover is one of a kind.  Three rows of snaps and latex free elastic provide an adjustable fit to accommodate your growing baby.  We use only latex free elastics that have been sewn on the interior of leg openings and waist to avoid any allergic reactions. Wool is highly absorbent. It will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture and is slow to feel damp, yet remains breathable, allowing maximum circulation around your baby’s bum. It contains natural lanolin, which creates a waterproof barrier. Its elasticity means the cover fits well, yet moves with your baby. Wool is easy to care for. It doesn’t need to be washed as often as other covers and it is naturally anti-bacterial.

Hand wash and lay flat to dry.  Periodic lanolizing is needed for optimum absorbency.  ( See lanolizing instructions under product information on Babee Greens home page)

I was given oen of these and I love it! It’s sooo soft! I love that it’s recycled. Even babies need a little cashmere in their lives!

This is a wonderful, cute wool cover. I really like that recycled sweaters are used for the outer layer. It means that you get a fun outside (the one I got is a blue argyle sweater). Adjustable and fits great over babeegreens diapers.

Love this cover! It’s soft and comfy for baby. It is bulkier than the PUL cover, but wool is just going to be bulkier. I have both a PUL cover and a wool cover, bc I think they both have their benefits. Wool is soft and comfy, and it is breathable too. It also is very absorbent (prevents leaks) and doesn’t stink or need to be cleaned often. The snaps work well and really do allow for a good fit as baby grows. And the cover is just really cute, too! In warm weather, put a t-shirt on top and this cover on the bottom–no need for anything else.

We love these wool (and cashmere) diaper covers. We were using PUL on our daughter until we made the switch to wool, and we were really pleased with the results = almost instantly her skin was less irritated. We attribute that to the wool’s breathable nature.rnrnThe fit of these covers is excellent – so snug around the leg without being too tight, and lots of room to grow with the three options for snapping. No leaks, even with really messy diapers.rnrnWe have both the cashmere and the wool, and I’m not sure that I can discern a difference between their performance. If I have a preference, it is slight – the cashmere is softer and a bit slimmer. rnrnReally excellent products – we only wish we’d done this earlier!

My baby LIVES in these woolie diaper covers from babeegreens. Day in and out since she was born…now 9 months. The snaps hold up, the customer service is prompt and helpful, the wool is quality and stylish, and the care of wool is easy. rnInitially, with breast-milk baby poops, I was unsure about wool covers and the lanolization process with messes. However, I figured out an easy system of “spot cleaning” the spill over areas (if the poop overflowed the prefold/fitted and got on the woolie cover)… by using a little rub of Olive Oil bar soap on the spot with room temp water… rub, and let dry. Then I only lanoliz when the spill over is significant (or the cover needed it for better water proofing).rnWe use all wool, all day and all night, and we love it. Cute bottoms, cozy, breathable for summer and long rides in the car/stroller, and feels great to be supporting up-cycled sweaters and local products.rnWe have about 4 covers of each size and that is enough for daily use.

We are a strictly wool cover family and BabeeGreens is all we use. The colors are beautiful, the quality it superb, and I love the all of the amazing properties of wool. Caring for them is easy, and it makes diapering less of a chore with beautiful products.

These (just like the cashmere covers) are such a great product! We love everything about them. These are wonderful to pair with fitteds for a night time solution. They are daddy friendly, easy to wash and lanolize. We love them!

These wool diaper covers are seriously AMAZING! I don’t have a great deal to compare them to as far as other brands go, but I don’t need to because these are so great. We have to small sizes and two medium sizes and currently use all four on our 12lb daughter. The snap adjustments make it easy to change levels of absorbency for different occasions. The most amazing part about these though is their ability to contain. We have had very few leaks with these and when it comes to blow outs we have had more with regular diapers. Not to mention how preciously adorable these are on our little ones rump! If there was more than five stars for these I would give it!

I love these wool covers. After using one for a few weeks I switched from using PUL to using wool full time on my son. These covers are so soft, breathable, and not irritating on his chunky inner thighs. It is easy to get a snug fit because of the two rows of snaps and the designs on the outside are extremely cute. What I love most is that they are very easy to take care of and have not shrunk like some of our other wool covers. Highly recommended!! I only wish Babee Greens made an extra large size as my very tall 18 month may outgrow the rise before he is out of diapers.

I’ve been super pleased with our wool covers. I usually order fun patterns and have gotten some really cute designs. As for functionality, these covers are fantastic. I did have issues with our medium covers leaking, but this is because my son is a “heavy wetter” and needs a heavier weight wool. I started using the wool liners between the diaper and the cover…I haven’t had any issues with leaking since. And now I know to make a note about the heavier weight wool when I order covers in size large. My only other concern with these was when my son was first born. The diaper contour is notched for the umbilical cord, but the small covers aren’t. I was worried about it rubbing his cord, so we used the disposable diapers we got from the birthing center for the first 3 days. When I started using the Babee Green diapers, the cover did rub his cord but it didn’t seem to be a problem. I just kept a close eye on it. On a positive note, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on these covers. They are really easy to care for. I have to remind myself to wash them because they literally smell brand new after hanging up for a few hours…even after a night time of wettings. The lanolizing process seemed daunting at first, but it’s actually quite simple. The instructions on the Babee Greens website were helpful and very easy to follow. The covers fit perfectly…they’re snug in all the right places, but not too tight. I would definitely recommend these covers and Babee Green diapers to others.

Can we talk about the snaps for a moment? This cover has all the benefits of a wool cover without having to fight to pull it over the diaper- or worse pull it off when there’s a ‘present’ that has made it out of your fitted or prefold. These snaps are incredible to make for an ease of use and the fit is incredible! We’re so glad we found these covers and have them in every size!
