Babee Greens' wool nursing pads are made from two layers of the finest and softest Oeko-Tex 100 certified Merino Wool. Wool is highly absorbent and is naturally breathable and naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.  It is an excellent fabric for nursing pads. It does not need to be washed with each use. Simply let dry. Wash cold and lay flat to dry. Do not lanolize.

Well made, pretty thin

These are pretty thin. Not warm enough to help with vasospasms unfortunately. Dries quickly if they get wet though.

Favorite overnight pads after supply stabilized

These nursing pads are incredibly soft and comfortable. I recently started wearing them as my overnight pair of nursing pads because they are the softest, most gentle, and least mobile (i.e. they stay put in my bra) pair of nursing pads. They are even softer than any of my reusable bamboo pads! For context, I am 17 weeks postpartum and I struggled with major leaking and overproduction for the first 16 weeks. I do not think the wool would have been the right choice for me in those heavy leaking days since I easily went through at least 1 dozen pairs of reusable cotton/bamboo pads a day. Now that my little one is consistently sleeping long stretches overnight, I’m fortunately no longer leaking as badly when I sleep. The wool is perfect for me overnight now. The wool pads are absorbent and have a stay-dry effect. The slight lanolin left over from the wool wash (I use Eucalan) makes it such that milk is only absorbed into the first layer of wool and the second layer has stayed dry. The wool pads are my new favorites now that my supply has stabilized (fwiw, it took me a lot longer than the average breastfeeding mama for my supply to stabilize). The wool pads dry quickly, but I prefer to wash them every morning. I gently rub in some slight suds of Dr. Bronner’s unscented bar soap, then rinse with water and roll them between a wash cloth to get the water out, then lay them flat to dry. With this routine, they have have been clean, fresh-smelling, and dry every night by bedtime.
