How it Works

Our new service for upcycled clothing is focused on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and crafting high-quality handmade baby apparel. Here’s how our 5-step service process works:

  • Step 1: You fill out a form on our website. Next, our staff reviews your submission to determine if your garments are suitable for upcycling.
  • Step 2: We connect with you and determine the number of pieces we need based on the baby clothing you’d like us to make. We then share a shipping label with you so you can send your original garments to us.
  • Step 3: You complete the purchase and ship the original items to our team.
  • Step 4: We receive the package and our in-house sewing team gets to work creating your one-of-a-kind apparel.
  • Step 5: We ship the brand-new upcycled baby items back to you within 10 days.

How Upcycling Helps the Environment

A World Economic Forum reveals that the textile and fashion industry is the 3rd largest contributor of emissions worldwide, accounting for 5% of all emissions across the globe!

Each year, textile production produces an astonishing 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions. To put things in perspective, this amount of emissions is more than what maritime shipping and all international flights (combined) generate! Given the amount of harm manufacturing and disposing of textiles does to the environment, what can be done – on an individual level – to reduce it? Upcycling is one of the many answers.

To begin with, upcycling substantially lowers the amount of waste that gets tossed in landfills each year. This lowers the CO2 emissions while stretching the lifespan of fabrics. However, not every material will be suitable for upcycling, and we will be limited by the amount of material supplied.
